AK-2000 shock-absorbing seat

АК-2000

The seat is designed to be a pilot working station protecting an occupant against emergency landing G-loads. The seat makes it possible to use a recovery parachute in the course of a development test program for a prototype aircraft (the seat structure has a version to be used with a back parachute).
The seat complies with AП-23, FAR-23, AП-29 and FAR-29 requirements.
In flight, the pilot is restrained in the seat with a safety harness (Schroth Safety Products GmbH) which is locked with a strap locking mechanism. The seat vertical, horizontal and back-recline angle adjustments make the seat comfortable for working and viewing. The adjustment is manual.
The pilot protection against the emergency landing G-loads is provided by a shock-absorbing system, which reduces the G-load level to permissible values.
The seat features vertical, horizontal and back-recline angle adjustments. The seat weight does not exceed 16 kg.
The AK-2000 seat is the basic version. It has various modifications, which differ in values and directions of height adjustment.

At a Customer's request, the seat can be equipped with a parachute system and armrests.
The seat complies with AП-29, FAR-29 requirements.
In flight, the pilot is restrained in the seat with a safety harness (Schroth Safety Products GmbH) which can be locked with a strap locking mechanism.
The seat vertical, horizontal and back-recline angle adjustments make the seat comfortable for working and viewing. The adjustment is manual.
The pilot protection against the emergency landing G-loads is provided by a shock-absorbing system, which reduces the G-load level to permissible values. The shock absorber is adjusted depending on the occupant mass. The seat weight does not exceed 14.5 kg.

The seat maintenance is performed in accordance with the Maintenance Schedule and includes pre-flight inspection and periodical check-ups.
Assigned operating time of the seat is 25,000 fl. hr.
Assigned useful lifetime is 20 years.
