Cosmonauts A. Eliseev and E. Khrunov were the first men to perform a spacewalk from the SOYUZ-5 spacecraft to the SOYUZ-4 spacecraft through the open space wearing YASTREB spacesuits with the self-contained LSS. Their EVA lasted for 37 minutes.

A new big production building was commissioned.

The KRECHET lunar spacesuit and the ORLAN orbital spacesuit were designed, developed and underwent the complete cycle of tests.
